We recommend to have 2 lessons per week.

Your brain needs time to process the material in between practice sessions, and as with exercise, your body needs to build strength and agility slowly.

When it comes to guitar, your fingers need to be callous and build up strength, which won’t happen with longer, less frequent practice sessions.

When it comes to piano, your fingers need a chance to build up strength.

Often, if you let too much time elapse, you’ll pretty much be back to square 1 when you start up again. So that being said, try for almost every day. If that isn’t realistic, shoot for as many times a week as you can. Be honest with yourself though. If 3-4 times a week is possible, and 7 days a week isn’t, don’t tell yourself it’s 7 days a week or nothing. That’s just a recipe for getting derailed. Anything is better than nothing, especially if you’re consistent.

Are there options for scheduling lessons at different times of the day to accommodate students' schedules?

Yes, you will be able to choose your own time to study with your teacher. But keep in mind that we cannot change the schedule every week, so be responsible when choosing the time.

Is there flexibility in rescheduling or canceling lessons if needed?

Yes, make-up lessons are offered for absences due to schedule conflicts communicated well in advance. However, no make-ups are offered for cancellations communicated less than 24 hours in advance.

"Aspiring Minds is a wonderfully professional, well educated, and talented group of musicians who teach well and educate the whole child. We have used them for several of our children and they have learned so much and advanced in so many areas because of their musical instruction. I highly recommend anyone interested in music lessons to look into Aspiring Minds!" - Tammy
